Learning a language online has advantages such as more flexibility, easier access to the class from any place, use of different educational resources and materials, the ability to personalize the learning process, as well as communication with classmates from all over the world.

One of the most important factors that make language learners successful in online classes is that language learners can access a teacher with successful experience from anywhere in the world, and on the other hand, they have access to interactive and dynamic exercises and activities and can receive appropriate feedback from their activities.

First of all, simply knowing the language and mastering it does not indicate being a good teacher. For example, all of us are fluent in Persian language, but being able to teach Persian language well is another issue that requires our knowledge of the principles of teaching methods based on global standards. In short, a good teacher should have successful experiences and have international university degrees in the field of language teaching.

The answer to this question depends on several factors, for example, what is the language level of the student at the beginning of his studies or how serious is he in learning the language. In general, for someone who tries to speak English for at least a few minutes every day and spends at least one to two hours a day studying, it takes between 1 and 2 years to reach fluency in English.

According to international standards, there are 6 levels in English, which are briefly defined as follows:

1- Introductory or beginner level (A1): This level is suitable for students who have minimal knowledge in English and sometimes have a negative feeling towards English. Reading and understanding story books and being able to be in a completely English-speaking environment are among the main goals of students at this level. At the end of this level, students enjoy attending the class and understand the general meaning of the conversations exchanged in the class.

2- Basic level (A2 and A2 plus): At this level, students try to understand the main components of a sentence, including subject, object, adverb, and adjective, and use them correctly in their sentences in general subjects. This level is suitable for people who are in a so-called word shooting situation, that is, for example, they use key words to convey their meaning instead of using sentences and hope that their meaning will be understood. As an example, consider a student who wants to ask permission from his teacher to leave the class and drink water, and expresses his meaning to the teacher like this: teacher can I out drink water? And with a smile, he expects that the teacher will understand his meaning and allow him to leave the class. At the end of this level, the learner should be able to make sentences such as: Excuse me teacher! I’m really thirsty. Can I go out to drink water?

3- Intermediate level (B1 and B1 Plus): This level is for people who know the basics of the English language and for whom it is time to experience the natural environment of the English language both in listening and speaking. It means that they can be influenced by the environment and influence the environment.

4- Super-intermediate level (B2): At this level, students can impress English speakers by using natural and relatively complex structures, as well as timely use of common terms and vocabulary.

5- Advanced level (C1): This level is suitable for students who want to be influential at academic levels and intend to present their scientific and literary opinions and achievements in conferences or articles.

6- Professional level (C2): This level is the highest level that can be learned in a class, and after that, self-taught learning should continue until the end of life.

Different courses are taught with different books, which are usually from Oxford or Cambridge publications. For example, American English File, Headway, and Empower books are usually taught in general courses, and during the course, electronic versions of the book are provided to students for free.

Unfortunately, publishers have acted a little unscientifically in the field of book printing. To clarify the issue, we will give you an example; Suppose you are in the city of London and you expect everyone to speak with a British accent like in the books. But when you go to East London, you will notice that people speak with an accent that is more like Australians than Londoners. Or, for example, you meet several Americans, one of whom is black and speaks with a black American accent, and the other is from Texas. Can you tell them that you are unfortunately only able to understand a British accent? In fact, as a student of English, you should be able to understand most of the common accents of the English language when you hear them, and for this purpose, your educational system should be designed in such a way that you have listening exercises in all the common accents while learning the language. Since this question is very common and the answer needs more explanation, let me give another example: Suppose a person comes to Iran and wants to learn Persian and asks you if it is better to learn Tehrani or Isfahani dialect. or Yazdi What do you answer him? Naturally, the best answer is to tell them to try to learn fluent and standard Farsi at the beginning. It is obvious that if he does not listen to your advice and tries to speak Farsi with an Isfahani accent, for example, we all know very well that if this person goes to Isfahan and speaks with this accent, the audience may misunderstand and think that he is making fun of Isfahani accent. In short, when learning a language, you should listen to different accents because in New York someone may speak with a British accent and in London someone with an American accent. At the same time, let the purity of your accent be formed and purified while living and working in the environment. The important thing is that the English language is pronounced phonetically and it is enough for you as a student to observe the stress of the words and sentences and to be able to express the words in certain places with natural continuity, all of which are common in all kinds of accents.

Yes, online courses are suitable for beginner level students. The courses can provide a strong foundation for the English language with an attractive environment and advanced facilities. The only important thing is that the beginner level students can use internet and computer tools well, for this purpose, the teacher will teach them the basics before the class starts.

After determining the level and participating in the introductory meeting and counseling, you will have one or two choices to participate in the appropriate class for your level. Our public courses consist of 12 90-minute sessions and are usually held three days a week and in some cases two days a week. But in the case of specialized courses, the number and days of the sessions are introduced according to the case. However, regarding private troubleshooting sessions, you can coordinate your time with the teacher.

These sessions do not have a specific syllabus and the topic is determined according to the needs, ambiguities, and problems of the students’ questions on the same day. The duration of these sessions is up to 90 minutes based on the volume of students’ questions.

Your academic progress in online courses can be evaluated in different ways. For example, in general courses, the academic status of students is evaluated two to three times a week based on the amount of attendance in class meetings and homework, and the report is given to each student individually and in writing.

Regardless of the number of students in each class, our public courses are designed and managed in such a way that each student is actively practicing speaking for 30 to 35 minutes in each session, and of course, the result of this amount of activity In our public courses, it is “incredible and amazing”.

Technically, yes, this is possible. But considering that your teacher shares his monitor screen with students while teaching, you may miss an important part of the class content. Therefore, it is recommended to use a computer and appropriate audio and video equipment to participate in the meetings. (Our recommendation is to use wired headsets that are connected to the computer through the USB port. According to the experience of the Microsoft brand, it has the best performance among similar products in the market.)

Considering that learning English requires face-to-face and audio communication, be sure to turn on your webcam when participating in the class and be in a low-noise and focused environment. It is also recommended that you mute your microphone when you are not speaking.

Yes, by participating in the Tracktest test or the online courses of International House London, both of which are our official partners.
